This local bar/restaurant is perfect for happy hour on the deck. Live music and drinks on the outdoor deck are a great way to relax and get to know the locals. The deck has a great view of the Lackawaxan River.
Rohman’s – Shahola, PA
This antique environment is a hidden gem and a step into the past. The bar is the same as when it was built 1849. Many famous people have past through and left their signatures and photos available to view in a scrapbook. The antique bowling lanes are still available for $15/hour. Self set pin bowling on all wood lanes along with oldies on the juke box is a great time with friends. The dining room serves dinner in a classic old style dining room that is a step into the past.
BVH – Barryville, NY
Best wings outside of Buffalo. This sports bar is friendly and filled with local families and summer camp employees. The bar is partial to Pittsburgh and New York teams but its a fun place to watch any game, drink cocktails and chat with people from all around the area. The large menu includes delicious sandwiches and bar food. No lie, best wings.
Wallenpaupack Brewing, Hawley, PA
Great Beer! If you see the “Pack and Brass” coffee IPA, GET IT! It is truley stellar. Other beers are excellent as well. The food menu is consistently delicious.
The Piazza, Eldred, PA
Amazing brick oven pizza in an outdoor setting. Other Italian options available. Meatballs are definitely recommended. This charming spot is perfect for a sunset slice.
